Storage and transportation of hardware
①The places where metal materials are stored should be kept clean and dry, away from factory workshops that generate moisture and dust, and should not be stored in contact with other metal parts of different materials, and a certain distance should be kept
②Keep the relative temperature and humidity of the storage environment. Moisture-proof and dehumidification should be carried out in a timely manner according to weather changes. If necessary, a desiccant with a high moisture absorption rate should be placed in a certain space where the product is stored to reduce the risk of corrosion of hardware and other metal products. (According to storage conditions and specific hardware properties, silica gel desiccant, magnesium chloride desiccant, calcium chloride desiccant, and VCI anti-rust desiccant with dual functions of anti-rust and moisture-proof are recommended, etc.)
③It is better to store the hardware with a long storage time in a sealed environment, avoid directly placing it on the storage shelf, and use an anti-rust packaging bag in a timely manner, (VCI-2000 anti-rust bag is recommended, and use weather corrosion inhibitor The anti-corrosion protection effect of the metal surface, when the hardware is preserved, it can not only prevent the erosion of water vapor and pollutants, but also increase the anti-rust protection)
④ It is possible to carry out temporary anti-rust treatment on the surface of hardware. VCI-510D3 water-based antirust agent is recommended, which can be used for painting and other coatings without cleaning. (A suitable anti-rust oil can also be recommended according to the requirements of use and storage)
⑤When transporting and shipping packaging for hardware, the surface also needs to be coated with anti-rust agent or anti-rust oil, anti-rust packaging, etc. It is necessary to prevent damage to the anti-rust outer layer and packaging during handling, loading and unloading, and storage. If the packaging is damaged, it should be repaired or replaced, and if it is damp, it should be dried. (Recommend VCI anti-rust bag and anti-rust paper, etc.)
